Every now and again we get caught in the temptation of thinking you would have been happier had you been given the charismatic appeal of Denzel Washington, the stunning looks of Halle Berry, or the genie of superman, the intellectual genius of Bill Gates or had you been leader of the US, owner of the firm you admire, etc.  Name the wishes and the list is endless…but the bottom line is that you think you would be happier if you had it…

There’s nothing wrong with that right? No, there’s everything wrong with that… there is a danger of you not loving and appreciating yourself, your potential, the sweet small things that others can’t have…and ultimately facing the failure to achieve the full potential that God intended for you to be.

If you desire to be great remember to be you. Your fingerprint is the testimony of the simple fact that you are you for a reason. To make the mark you need in life, you must remain you, true to yourself, even as you strive to pick the good from those that have already made it big, not to strive to be them.

Truth is nobody has it all, so you may  as well start to celebrate your life, your friends, love, level of finances, the sweet small things that others don’t seem to have etc..Even as you strive to commit and work towards that which you have set forth to achieve.

As Abraham Maslow says:

“There are no perfect human beings! Persons can be found who are good, very good indeed, in fact, great. There do in fact exist creators, seers, sages, saints, shakers, and movers…even if they are uncommon and do not come by the dozen. And yet these very same people can at times be boring, irritating, petulant, selfish, angry, or depressed. To avoid disillusionment with human nature, we must first give up our illusions about it.”

Begin to live YOUR life & harness your already existent potential in 2011 and You’ll be happier.
