There abounds a great fallacy in most of our minds about achievers, perhaps as a result of what society has raised us to think and conditioned us to believe. We harbor the very untruthful notion that greatness is achieved by virtue of having the means/potential/ability while, on the contrary, many of us have also beheld men of potential fail at it.
Embedded in our very thought pattern, the negativity leads us to attempt not that which we consider ourselves to be untalented at, for some strange reason, even before having attempted (faced/dared) it. Some of us have tended to attempt but only to give up when checkered by the “prophets of gloom” with their utterances of what is and is not tenable (negativity).
Faced with such negativity, we must remember what scripture records in Eccl. 9:11, “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”
Those who fail to achieve their dreams do not in any way lack the means/potential/abilities, most instead see their talents and abilities slip away at the lack of endurance, perseverance, drive, unwavering resolve and patience. They give up just before dawn. Seize the challenges to see the fruits of your labor to their birth! For in them and beneath them lies your way to future greatness.
