Life’s truest creed is: what we believe and expect determines what we shall see and receive thereof. This is even truer from the Biblical example in 2nd kings 4vs6 (KJV):

And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, there is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. (NIV says: Then the oil stopped flowing)

This encounter, between the Widow and Elisha, echoes to us that often times, it is not the blessing that is limited but our expectations of what the blessings would do and/or would not do. The extent of supply is only limited by the level of our expectations which is measured by the number of vessels we choose to prepare when the gates of Heaven or blessings come upon us. By limiting our vessels (expectation) we already determine how much we want to receive. In our story, the supply would have continued, had there been even a 100 more vessels.

This reminds us that by virtue of the things we harbor in our mind, we either increase or decrease the possible and readily available merciful providence; our faith (expectation) establishes the amount we receive or not receive.
