I want to reflect on the wisdom of Ella Wheeler Wilcox, an American author and poet. She reminds us of our divine connection and nature…and that God and everything around us has been ordained for our good, but we must resolve to tap into this rich resource. We are urged to be willing to erase our memory of the past failures/hurts/aches and have the courage to soldier on, no matter the current conditions…
She beckons us to the reality that regardless of the “Why”, you are already in the mess. All you need to do is clean it up and start anew. Stop playing victim of circumstances and become a victor of circumstances, knowing that our Glory days lie ahead not behind. Here is what she says;
“Build on resolve, and not upon regret, the structure of the future. Do not grope among the shadows of old sins, but let your own soul’s light shine on the path of hope, and dissipate the darkness.
That which the upreaching spirit can achieve, the grand and all-creative forces know; they will assist and strengthen as the light lifts up the acorn to the oak tree’s height.
Remember your Success is ready for you when you are ready to lose sight of the shore & the familiar; when you make a firm resolve to dare the great and the mighty tasks that you have been running away from or neglecting.
